1. Our paints are ready to use right out of the pots. However if you want to make your life even easier and avoid potential brush strokes or streaks add a little water and mix in with your brush until the paint is slightly thinned and glides smoothly on your brush

2. We design each kit with a unique blend of colors however if you want to go rogue 😉 and make some of your own, its great to have a plate, palette, or even a small cup at the ready that you can mix colors together in to create your own unique design

3. You’ll want to have a cup of water handy (something like a glass mason jar works great - no worries about water spilling and better yet its easily cleaned and re-used 👍 ) as well as either a cloth rag you don’t mind dirtying with paint or a small bunch of paper towels so you can clean your brush

4. When painting the background of this fabulous canvas you have a number of options. This kit is packed with a harvest gold ochre and a pale blue. You can either choose to paint your background either of these solid colors .. or .. if you want to recreate this fabulous swirling tempestuous sky in our painting follow along 😊

5. First you are going to paint the entire background with the harvest gold ochre and let this fully dry to the touch. After it is dry take your pale blue and following the directions above add a bit of water to thin it out a bit. Then paint this overtop of the ochre using arc-ed (semi circular) brush strokes. this will give the illusion of movement and swirling sky around your fierce all hallows eve bats 🦇

6. When painting you can either put down a cloth or some paper and paint directly on a table surface or you can add a wooden easel to your kit and have something to paint on and then display with 😊 — we love a two in one 😊 ✨
